Keith Barksdale is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He preached his initial sermon on Sunday January 24, 1993 at New Springfield Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA., and ordained in 1997 in Dallas, TX at Oakcliff Bible Fellowship. Rev. Barksdale obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from Savannah State University 1987, and a Bachelor of Theology degree from Carver Bible College Atlanta, Georgia in 1994, He also earned his Master of Theology in Pastoral Ministry and Bible Exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas Texas in 1998. In addition, he was awarded the Reuben S. Conner Award for Evangelism and Discipleship.
From 1999-2003, Rev. Barksdale served as Pastor of God’s Acre Missionary Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia. He also served at Carver Bible College Atlanta, Georgia from 1998-2008 in various capacities as teacher, administrator and adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies and was awarded Professor of the year in 2000 and adjunct professor of the year in 2007. In addition, Rev. Barksdale has served as adjunct professor at Southwest Bible Institute in Atlanta, Georgia and MWE School of Ministry in Snellville, Georgia. He also served temporarily as academic consultant to Bryant Theological Seminary in Fitzgerald, Georgia .
He believes that the goal of the church is to make disciples who love, serve and exhibits the character of Jesus Christ. Rev. Barksdale has taught Evangelism, Biblical Leadership, Outreach Ministry and Old/New Testament Studies at church conferences throughout the U.S. and abroad. Preaching and Teaching God’s Word is his passion.
Rev. Barksdale has a world-wide ministry, he has taken the Word of God around the world via Missions trips to Sri Lanka, Germany, Kenya, Jamaica and Haiti. He has Pastored God’s Acre Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA from 1999 – 2003, and Pastor/Organized New Pathway Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia from 2009-2013. He has served as a ministry consultant to various churches throughout Metro-Atlanta.
